The return of the London International Arts Festival

Posted: 20.10.15

The brilliant London International Arts Festival (LIAF) has announced its line up for 2015 and it's rather spectacular. As ever you'll have a chance to witness Founder Jyotsna Srikanth’s perform her incredible violin compositions, alongside guests such as Mercury nominated drummer Seb Rochford, Carnatic singer Mahathi, UK Asian Underground producer Osmani Soundz and Grand Union Orchestra. The highlight of the festival which takes place in venues throughout the capital is Talvin Singh (pictured). The accomplished tabla player, electronic musician, music theorist, record producer, visual practitioner and DJ presents TRIKONA, a special live project, taking his Jazz and Dub influences in a new direction.

Talvin on drums will be accompanied by Ben Hazleton on double bass and Giuliano Modarelli on guitar with dub master Louis Beckett providing the front of house mix. The spectacle takes place on November 6th at The Rich Mix in London and includes sets by Osmani Sounds, a pioneer in the UK Asian Underground scene, and Jyotsna herself.
