Nargis Takes Hollywood

Bollywood siren Nargis Fakhri makes debut in mainstream movie

Posted: 28.05.15

It's not often we're invited to a Hollywood premiere, but when it does happen it's usually because there's an exotic beauty or hunk involved, representing on the world stage and making us desi's proud. We were thrilled when we found out that one of the hottest actresses of B-town, Nargis Fakhri is making her Hollywood debut in the comedy action movie Spy - and this was no small feat of a debut, featuring alongside a prolific cast including Jude Law, Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham and Miranda Hart to name a few. There's no doubt that the sexy leggy lass provided a touch of much needed feminine glamour and eye candy both in the movie and on the red carpet, and she certainly did not fail to impress.

All stars from the movie were present at the premiere last night in Leicester Square, and all eyes were inevitably on Nargis, wearing a sultry long red dress, leaving little to the imagination whilst revealing plenty of cleavage on display. She told me that although she didn't opt for a traditional number, she still wanted to represent India, which is why she chose designer Monisha Jaising who rustled up her foxy ensemble. We approve of her shortened locks, which were effortlessly tied up, as well as her choice not to overdo it with accessories - the dress did all the talking and made a statement, leaving no need for flamboyant jewels, proving glitz and pizazz needn't be brought on by bling.

Although Nargis' part is quite small in the movie, it was a commendable performance and she divulged that for the action scene where she busts some impressive moves, she did indeed have some training for those shots, which she said she loved doing. When asked to choose between Hollywood, which is closer to home for the American born starlet or Bollywood which has given her fame and fortune, she diplomatically replied that she can't choose between either. But when we prompted that it must have been great to act and speak in English, since she can't speak Hindi, she agreed and laughed that it was comfortable and easier! She confirmed that she will not be ditching Indian cinema after having a taste for the mainstream, also disclosing that her forthcoming plans are jam-packed with Bollywood projects.

Spy releases on June 5th 2015 in cinemas nationwide
