There aren’t many people that can master the worlds of music and acting but Pakistani actor Ali Zafar is one of them. They’re calling him Bollywood’s new leading man and if the reception he received by fans in London last week is anything to go by, we’re pretty sure he’s going to be around for a while!
Hundreds of screaming film fanatics turned up to the Cineworld cinema in Feltham, West London, to catch a glimpse of the new star of Chashme Baddor, the new comedy by David Dhawan.

Earlier in the day, Ali smoozed the UK media at a special press conference held at the Montcalm Hotel in Marble Arch, hosted by Sunil Shah, Chairman, Tip Top Entertainment and Artist Manager, Naila Mughal where he performed a rendition of one of his personal favourite songs from the soundtrack, Dhichkyaoon Dhoom Dhoom.

Speaking at the press conference, Ali Zafar said: ‘Working with David Dhawan was more fun than I was told it would be. A friend of mine said 'You must work with David Dhawan, he is a wonderful director to work with and you will have a great time.' It turned out to be not a great time but a fabulous time because he's so much fun on set. He gets so excited right from early morning until dawn.’

Chashme Baddor is a remake of the 1981 film and with David Dhawan’s touch has become a laugh-out-loud comedy featuring up and coming talent aswell as seasoned veterans including Rishi Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher and Lilette Dubey.
