World's best love film couple confirmed
As Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol prepare for their on-screen return in Dilwale, released in cinemas today, the much-loved Bollywood pair are also celebrating being crowned the 'Best Film Couple' in a poll conducted by the British Film Institute (BFI) as part of their Love Season, in partnership with Plusnet. Raj and Simran the characters that define the word Bollywood, were the love-struck pair who appeared in the classic romance Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), or DDLJ as it is better known, which celebrated its 20th anniversary earlier this year, and it was for this film that SRK and Kajol, took the crown. Other pairings who made the Top 10 include Harry and Sally from When Harry Met Sally, Jack and Ennis from Brokeback Mountain and Scarlett and Rhett from Gone With The Wind.
