Diversity In Fashion

BMA Models hosted an event to promote diversity in the fashion world

Whenever we interview Asian celebs in all fields, one of our questions to them is always – Why do you think it is so difficult for Asians and other ethnicities to breakthrough the mainstream industry, whether that is Hollywood, music, arts or fashion. That’s why when BMA Models informed us of their latest launch of #GenerationDiversity, we felt very passionate about such a significant endeavour. The focus of this campaign is to raise awareness for more diverse models in the fashion industry, and in their efforts to support this, hosted an event with a private fashion show featuring Aruna Seth Shoes, Suzanne Neville, Asiana TV, Protein World, WatchAnish, W.Salamoon & Neville who are some of the leading and influential brands in the world today.

The affair was hosted on 16th September at Salmontini’s restaurant in Knightsbridge, London with a private fashion show in conjunction with London Fashion Week. The fashion show included an array of diverse models from BMA Models wearing beautiful evening dresses and shoes provided by our partners Suzanne Neville and Aruna Seth Shoes. We had a great turn out and support from all over the entertainment and fashion industry with great feedback.

Although this was their first year initiating the campaign, BMA Models and their partners aim to continue with their efforts in the future also. After such a successful debut show, we also hope to see the difference such events make towards diversity in the world of fashion.
