Posted: 06.07.15

Young and innovative fashion designers rejoiced and mingled amidst industry pioneers at the annual Luton Fashion Week. Organised by fashion college lecturer Aneesa Kiani, enthusiastic South Asian designers from around the area, many of whom have been taught by Aneesa herself, showcased their impressive creations in a glamorous fashion show at the event, in an expression of not only their passion for couture, but also to reflect their culture and identity. Prolific leaders in the British Asian fashion world graced the show with their presence, including Editor of Asiana Wedding Magazine, Anisha Vasani who was also featured as a guest speaker to inspire the new generation of budding fashionistas, along with hair stylist Aamir Naveed and make-up artist Dil Matharu. Most importantly, all proceeds from the affair contributed towards Imran Khan’s Cancer Appeal, which raises money to build a hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan.
