Trend: Love Bullets

Upcycling just got newsworthy, as seen on Jameela Jamil

Whatever Jameela does, we follow suit – she is after all a style icon for our era. The T4 presenter turned Radio 1 DJ who also has her own fashion range is a festival regular and she knows how to make a mac and wellies look good – all thanks to her ability to accessorise. Note the Love Bullet pendant. Transforming symbols of destruction and violence into ones of peace, love and beauty, Love Bullets (from £18) are pendants with a difference. The London based jewellery company don’t just make visionary collectables turning used bullets into jewels, they spread their ideology through events and creative collaborations including turning a decommissioned army tank into a DJ booth. They’re also working with War Child by donating a percentage of their website sales to the charity.

This summer’s new range focuses on Crystal Power – dissected bullets encasing raw uncut gemstones which can be won as necklaces or wrap around bracelets.
