Farhan Akhtar & Farah Khan celebrate their birthdays and the stars came out to shine

Posted: 09.01.15

Box office busting director Farah Khan turns the big 50 today, whilst talented actor Farhan Akthar celebrates his 41st birthday. When two big names have their birthdays on the same day, it means Bollywood's glitterati rejoice at the occasion. Although Farah was the host, she generously shared her glory with Farhan, as his family also attended the star-studded affair. There was much buzz and gossip around why Shah Rukh Khan did not attend his supposed bestie's birthday bash, since they have previously fallen out, whilst the cops showed up around 12:45am to curb noise pollution, bringing the party to an abrupt end, with Farah Rs. 5000 short as she was fined. The industry's most glamorous couples were seen together, including Deep-Veer, Kat-Bir, a very loved up Ash-Shek amongst many more. Most importantly, B-town beauties and hunks donned their fineries and gave us more reason to swoon at them, whilst also giving us an exclusive snapshot of the finest outfits from their much sought after wardrobes.

Fashionista never fails to impress and last night she looked exquisite in a sexy black lace Stella McCartney number, with gorgeous ankle strap heels. Going for the subtle and minimal look, Deepika was a picture of elegance in an ivory chiffon Burberry dress, complete with a nude Saint Lauren sling bag and matching nude Louboutins. The overall look complemented her beauty perfectly!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stunned as always in a black Fendi floral dress, with a dash of red lip to emphasise those to-die-for smackers. Katrina surprised all as she opted for a casual white tank and white torn denims, although the Jimmy Choo sandals certainly added the glamour to her otherwise plain outfit.

Malaika Arora Khan looked sizzling in her dazzling Alice & Oivia pleated shimmery dress, with a lovely silver Louis Vuitton clutch. Quirky and stylish, Kangana Ranaut wore a hot pink Gucci suit and chose to show off her natural curly locks.

We approved of Vidya Balan's choice to wear traditional garb, as this is her signature look for a reason - she carries it off like nothing else. Wearing a Ridhi Mehra anarkali with Amrapali rings, she looked refined and ravishing. Other starlets kept it simple, such as Lara Dutta in a floral print BCBG dress, although her BCBG edgy heels and Louis Vuitton satin minaudière added the much needed glamour to her otherwise ordinary dress.
