Everyone's raving about the NutriBullet, so we tried it out to see what all the fuss is about…

Eating clean, balanced diet, exercise, supplements, 5 a day…we know all the different aspects our lives should comprise if we want to feel and look good, but it’s not always that easy when you’re super busy and on the go. It’s even worse when you feel like you’re allergic to all healthy foods, especially during these cold Winter nights when all you crave is comfort food. But since NutriBullet seems to be all the rage right now with the fitness buffs and decided to give it a go – and now we’re raving about it too. If you love a good smoothie, the NutriBullet is an absolute must-have. There’s nothing more off-putting when you find seedy pesky bits in what’s ironically supposed to be a ‘smoothie’. But fret not, as the super sonic 900w motor of the NutriBullet allows for purer consistency, so all those disappointing bitty bits stay out of your teeth and delicious drink. In fact, the loyal NutriBullet goes that one step further, as its motor bursts open seeds, cracks through stems and shreds tough skins, giving you the every ounce of nutrition that you will find in fruits and veg. You will love being healthy and downing your smoothie/shakes once your NutriBullet is done with it.

Here’s some refreshingly scrumptious recipes to inspire you and get you started:

Strawberry Mint Blast
1 Handful of Watercress
½ Banana
6 Strawberries
5 Mint leaves
1 tablespoon of Chia seeds
1 cup of Almond Milk
0 to Max Line water
Add all ingredients to your NutriBullet Tall cup and extract for 30 seconds, or until smooth… Enjoy
If you haven’t had strawberry and mint together, it’s about time you do! Mint is an excellent addition to any Blast that not only enhances the flavour, but can help relieve symptoms of indigestion, IBS and even the common cold. Chia seeds help satiate hunger, while strawberries naturally sweeten the drink without a heavy dose of sugar – perfect for those watching their weight or trying to balance blood sugar levels.

Chocolate Mint Shake
1 Frozen Banana
8 Mint leaves
2 tablespoons Cacao Powder
2 Medjool Dates
2 teaspoons Coconut Oil
2 tablespoons Sunflower Seed Butter
2 tablespoons Chia Seeds
½ cup Coconut Milk
Add all ingredients to your NutriBullet Tall Cup and extract for 30 seconds, or until smooth… Enjoy!
Satisfy your sweet tooth guilt-free with this delicious, decadent, and good-for-you dessert! We like this healthier chocolate shake even better than the real thing because it won’t cause your blood sugar to spike and crash. The balance of healthy fats, fibre and protein provides you with the all-day energy you need to reach you goals and feel your best.

Sweet Dreams Blast
1 handful Spinach
1 Banana
½ cup Cherries
1 teaspoon Honey
1 handful Almonds
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Splash Vanilla
0 to Max Line Almond Milk
Add all solid ingredients to the Tall Cup. Fill to the Max Line with liquids and blend until smooth, approximately 30 seconds.
Banana contains melatonin and serotonin, which both help you sleep soundly, and contains magnesium as well, a known muscle relaxant. That, along with cherries (also high in melatonin) and honey, a natural sleep aid used for years, this Blast will knock you out – in the best way possible.
For best results, enjoy this Blast a few hours before bedtime.
