Celebs begin to arrive in KL for glitzy weekend
The Indian film industry seems to have awards ceremonies every other month, but perhaps one of the most highly anticipated are the IIFA Awards, held annually and hosted in a different part of the world every time. In its 16th consecutive year, the events will begin this weekend as the biggest stars of Bollywood arrive in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The prestigious affair celebrating music, cinema, fashion - basically all things glitzy and glam - will last for three days, featuring a series of events including IIFA Rocks, IIFA Fashion Extravaganza, IIFA World Premiere and of course the main IIFA Awards ceremony, recognising the creme de la creme of B-town. Hosts of the events include the likes of Neha Dupia, Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra. There will be an array of performances to look forward to including Sonakshi Sinha singing live, Lisa Hayden, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kanika Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor amongst many more. Prior to the event, Hrithik Roshan enticed his fans at a stage set-up at a popular mall, by performing a little dance number as a teaser to the main events. The whole cast of Dil Dhadakne Do will also be present to promote the chic new flick by Zoya Akhtar. If you don't want to miss out on all the action, the shows will be aired on Colors TV at some point.
