Shuborna Rahman takes in the sights at Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf may not be considered the obvious choice for a minibreak, but it’s every bit as special as any other city retreat you’ll find in London.
The heart of the banking district, city gentlemen and smartly dressed women buzz around the indoor shopping malls while families tuck into dinner by the riverside. Amongst this hustle and bustle is the stylish and impressive 10-storey Four Seasons Hotel; an impressive landmark, just 15 minutes from City Airport, the newly built Olympic Village and The O2, making it ideal for a weekend of sightseeing and shopping.

Located on the higher floors of the Hotel are some are some of the best rooms in the Capital; the Premier River-View Rooms offer some of the best panoramic views of London, the River Thames and the Hotel garden.

One of the highlights of the Four Seasons is its River-View signature ritual massage, which you’ve guessed it takes place while you watch the calming water views. Located on the second floor of the hotel, the private River-View Treatment Suite allows individuals or couples to indulge in organic products with gorgeous fragrances like rose and jasmine, massages, and facial treatments.

The signature massage which is exclusively designed for the hotel begins with a nourishing foot scrub and a deep acupressure foot massage that complements the calming view of the river. Next, a full-body massage relieves tension while you listen to the music of your choice - take your own ipod along to make it a truly personalised experience.

Specially selected heated river stones are then used with extracts of willow and lemon balm to calm the nervous system and relax tight muscles, while marigold is used to promote regeneration and reduce puffiness. Your treatment ends with a deeply energising head and face massage, leaving you recharged and refreshed.

A modern, sleek and intimate restaurant, Quadrato, offers up the rustic and vibrant cuisine of Northern Italy, prepared with the freshest ingredients. Experienced staff are on hand to serve up interesting cocktails, mocktails and beverages, going out of their way to understand your palette and desires.
The casual yet elegant design of the restaurant is also subtly glass partitioned off, exhibiting an array of chefs working in the kitchen preparing your dishes as you watch and relax.

The beautifully, ornate windows from the restaurant that overlook into the hotel garden and pool make the restaurant an ideal spot to grab a quick bite to eat at lunch, sip a cocktail or enjoy a traditional afternoon tea.

In July, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in the heart of London’s East End will reopen for the first time to the public, welcoming many more major sporting events and November will see the winner of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals crowned at The O2. Four Seasons are also offering a VIP Package in May for one of the year’s most eagerly anticipated boxing events, Carl Froch versus Mikkel Kessler. Fans can book the special World Champion Boxing at the O2 and enjoy ring-side seats to the match, as well as a three-course dinner, a scenic River Taxi journey to the event, and much more.

Other offers take place throughout the year. Contact the hotel to find out more.
