What do you enjoy most about working in the wedding industry?
As dhol players, we’re responsible for setting the energy from the very first moment of the celebration. Whether it’s a groom’s entrance, a lively baraat or a packed dance floor, it’s incredibly satisfying to see guests smiling, dancing and fully immersed in the occasion. Every wedding is unique, so no two performances are ever the same.
What can we expect from your performance?
You’re in for a high-energy, visually impressive feast! Our performers wear traditional attire or luxury ceremonial uniforms, depending on the style of your Big Day. The combination of powerful live drumming, coordinated performances and striking costumes creates vibrant, celebratory atmosphere that’s impossible to ignore. Guests often find themselves dancing and joining the procession within moments of the drums starting. Though most people associate drummers with the bharaat, we’re also booked for milni ceremonies, grand entrances, receptions, dance floor performances alongside DJs or simply turn up to surprise your guests. Whether it’s Bhangra, Bollywood chart music, R&B or dance anthems, everyone that witnesses us is in for a treat.
What have been your most memorable performances?
We’ve been fortunate to perform at thousands of weddings, so there are many memorable moments. A few standout highlights include performing at the first-ever wedding held at Disneyland Paris and entertaining guests at some of the most prestigious wedding venues across the UK and internationally. We’ve also appeared in productions such as Disney’s Aladdin featuring Will Smith, on The Only Way is Essex, MTV and in the recent Riz Ahmed movie Hamlet.
However, some of our favourite memories are often the personal moments like seeing three generations of a family dancing together or watching hundreds of guests unexpectedly join in behind the drummers and turn a wedding entrance into an unforgettable celebration.”
