2025 Colour Trend: Red

The colour of love and romance red has long been the number one colour associated with Asian weddings, both in East Asian and South Asian cultures. In Chinese tradition, red symbolises happiness, good, luck, fortune and joy. Reg eggs are often gifted at weddings while the bride wears a red outfit.

Red has long symbolised royalty, worn by the Mughal dynasty and is connected with religious deities in India, which is how it came to be the colour associated with weddings. Though some brides are now opting for other colour palettes, red remains a timeless choice. Use it moderately or in your main aesthetic to elevate everything from your décor to your dress.

Why red will never be dead! Colour Expert Momtaz Begum-Hossain recommends red as the bridal colour of 2025
