Grooms were put under the spotlight in the first collection from Monga’s, showcasing the breadth of exquisite design that is available to the modern maharaja. Long sherwanis were the key trend but these weren’t just jackets but styled as complete outfits with layering and shawls and accessories with jewellery. There was a range of colours and textures to suit different personalities from a midnight blue heavily embellished sherwani covered in intricate flowers perfect for an evening reception to subtler cream suits that were smart and sophisticated and ideal for a daytime event, Monga’s showed it’s not just brides that need several outfits, grooms are worthy of them too.
