Edgbaston Park Hotel
The best of both worlds – discover historic charm and modern convenience in the quaint suburbs of Birmingham
Introducing two of the most beautiful wedding venues in Birmingham. At Edgbaston Park Hotel, you’ll find a charming historic house and a bright, contemporary suite on one secluded site. So, whatever the type of setting you’re seeking; look no further…
The venue: Hornton Grange
A historic, wedding venue, characterised by its period features, this 1920s redbrick former family home has been beautifully restored inside and out, creating the perfect romantic haven in which to tie the knot. Set in landscaped gardens with an airy sky-lit extension allowing you to enjoy the breathtaking location, it provides a stunning backdrop for a wedding ceremony or other pre or post-wedding celebration including Henna parties, Nikah ceremonies, Mehndi ceremonies, Sangeet ceremonies, and mini receptions.
Couples that marry at Hornton Grange will have access to an exclusive-use wedding venue and the adjacent gardens, giving you comfort and peace of mind. You won’t be disturbed, and your guests can relax and enjoy a private event. Exclusive hire also allows you to transform the house with the décor and the theme of your choice, though you won’t need much. Most couples simply enhance the space with flowers so that the grandeur of the building can be enjoyed as it is.
On the day, guests will discover Hornton Grange located opposite Edgbaston Park Hotel where there’s complimentary car parking available. The venue has six luxury bedrooms onsite, ideal for couples and close family, while guests can check in at the main hotel should they wish to stay over. The hotel has a total of 185 bedrooms and three apartments and discounts are available for wedding guests.
A friendly, supportive wedding coordinator will be with you every step of the way and they can suggest ways you can use the venue to ensure it meets your wedding day vision. For example, in the summer months you may wish to serve welcome drinks in the garden, hold your ceremony alfresco, arrange games or even have a delicious BBQ set up. And of course, the gardens are the perfect backdrop for romantic portraits.
Ceremonies are typically held in the Lloyd Suite, which is the sky-lit extension in Hornton Grange and holds a license for civil ceremonies. There’s also a private lounge area and bar.

The venue: The Fry Suite
The Fry Suite is a modern wedding venue within Edgbaston Park Hotel which is ideal for adding your own personal touch. Chic and spacious, the Fry Suite is designed to host the biggest, boldest celebrations with fully customisable packages. With its modern versatility and subtle hues, the suite can be transformed into a unique backdrop for any wedding ceremony or reception. No matter whether you want your wedding to have vintage vibes or a bold festival theme, the Fry Suite is the ideal canvas to express yourselves as a couple. Cultural traditions and elements are welcome including mandaps.
The hotel have created packages that offer everything you need to celebrate in style. With a red carpet on arrival and access to your own private bar, your day will feel like an exclusive VIP event from start to finish. The suite boasts a spacious dancefloor, which will get the party started once guests have enjoyed an indulgent wedding meal.
On arrival, guests will be greeted at reception and then led past the main bar towards the Fry lounge. This is an ideal place to hold a welcome drinks reception. Or you can make the most of the idyllic setting and opt for outside. Your guests will have access to Garth House grounds which is a lovely outdoor space to enjoy drinks, entertainment and take photographs.
Ceremonies can be held in the Fry Suite, though typically it’s where couples prefer to hold their main reception meal. For both venues, there are internal and external catering options. If you choose their internal catering option, you’ll be invited to an exclusive menu tasting where the couple can try the cuisine, meet the chefs, and make any changes before the Big Day. The venue also works with external wedding caterers including Mahirs Experience, The Five Rivers, Punjabi Food and many other Asian wedding caterers.
There’s an in-built bar within the Fry Suite making serving drinks more convenient. Drinks packages include alcoholic, non-alcoholic and even vegan drinks. The suite is where your evening celebration will unfold too and the space doubles up as a dancefloor and stage for live music, with lights that can be altered to suit the mood.
Afterwards, guests can retire to the hotel rooms onsite before enjoying breakfast together where you can reminisce about the joys of the day.

“When I attended a wedding (before I was even engaged) at the Edgbaston Park Hotel, I knew then that I would choose it for my Big Day. You have been so helpful preparing everything and you always remained in close contact and whenever I had a query you answered. It’s a beautiful venue, but what makes it special is the staff behind it, and you were an absolute delight to work with, thank you for making our day amazing.”
