A sumptuous Grade II-listed manor dating back over 1000 years, Pendley Manor is a dream wedding venue. Rising from a peaceful forest glade in 35 acres of rural Hertfordshire, this stunning and sophisticated hideaway housed in a Tudor revival building marries a fine balance of historic architecture and rural charm, within easy reach of London.

Couples are assigned a dedicated events manager who will support you every step of the way, providing inspiration, helping with timings and ensuring everything that matters behind-the-scenes is seamless, to ensure your wedding is as magical as you dream of.
Designing your Big Day
The captivating experience begins the moment guests arrive at the enchanting tree-lit driveway where they’ll be welcomed before they approach Pendley Manor. The quintessential English manor house is enveloped with immaculate lawns, landscaped gardens and wooded surroundings enhancing the romance of the location.
Guests residing in the hotel can enter through the main reception where they’ll be welcomed at the grand, impressive staircase in the central lobby. Passing through here, they’ll make their way to the function space, whether it’s in the Verney Room or the Oak Restaurant, or on the main grounds. Welcome drinks can also be set up on the lawns.
Should the event be in the Harcourt Centre, a separate event entrance welcomes guests, where they can park easily and walk straight into the event space. Once inside, the large doors overlook the grounds and the estate’s roaming peacocks – keep an eye as there are 35 of them, living on site.
If your wedding takes place in the Rose Garden Grand Suite, guests can enter the tree-lit driveway and park in the large parking area, walk through a paved pathway which takes them through the grounds and directly into the stunning space, with the backdrop of the Manor House.
Grand expectations
The venue has five rooms and the lawn which are licensed for civil ceremonies. These are the Rose Garden Grand Suite, Harcourt Ballroom, Simon Suite, Verney and Acorn. Their Grade II listed staircase is not just the only one in UK to be listed for ceremonies, it’s also a spectacular spot for your wedding photos, set against a backdrop of stained glass windows.

The Rose Garden Grand Suite
Purpose-built to cater for the requirements of Asian weddings, the new Rose Garden Grand Suite is the largest event space at Pendley Manor with a capacity of 600 guests. A luxury marquee, it was designed to be spacious enough to cater for cultural requirements like housing grand mandaps and religious ceremonies. There’s a fully functional kitchen attached that can be used by caterers. A blank canvas space, the marquee can be arranged to suit your needs. Tables can be laid out banqueting style or cabaret style for dining, and theatre style for ceremonies.
Additional lighting can be provided and there’s an inbuilt sound system ideal for DJs and bands.
The Harcourt Ballroom
This is the largest and grandest room within the main hotel, with ceilings decorated with glistening chandeliers and artistic walls, seating 200 guests for a ceremony or reception. The double doors here give easy access to the manicured grounds, and it’s equipped with its own kitchen.
The Simon Suite
A light and airy room with wood panelling all around, this room comes to life when it’s decorated with fresh flowers. In keeping with the theme, the suite opens out onto a secluded patio. The Simon Suite holds 140 for a ceremony and can accommodate 80 for banqueting-style dining.

The hotel’s 84 bedrooms include four-poster beds, fairy-tale junior suites and family rooms, each designed to accommodate the needs of different guests.
The communal spaces are ideal for socialising and include dining facilities and a spa. The expansive food and drink offering encompasses fine dining in the Oak Restaurant, casual comfort food in the Shakespeare Bar, and one of the country’s favourite afternoon teas in the Peacock Lounge, overlooking the family of roaming peacocks. Guests can unwind in the new ESPA spa and swimming pool with a selection of treatments, ideal for pre-wedding pampering or guests during their wedding stay.
