Rings Of Desire
Shop for your wedding ring the easy way with DBS jewellery
Choosing your wedding ring is a rite of passage. A timelessness tradition its significance will live on forever; the only thing that’s changing is how you shop for it.
Birmingham-based ring specialists DBS Jewellery have revolutionalised shopping for wedding rings, becoming the only provider of 22ct gold wedding rings online. Their beautiful, accessible and affordable range features 30 designs.
With the concept envisioned by Deepak Bagga, DBS Jewellery launched in 2023 following years of honing his skills within the jewellery industry. He enthuses: “My ultimate aim is to bring the high street retail shopping experience to the 22ct gold jewellery sector. The fact we’re online doesn’t reduce the personalised experience. After placing your order we’ll acknowledge receipt and check you’re happy with every aspect before we post it to you.”
Put a ring on it
DBS specialise in bridal and engagement rings alongside dress and cocktail rings to bring sparkle to partywear. Their thoughtful jewellery combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary designs, meticulously crafting hallmarked gold to hold glittering, 5A grade, cubic zirconia stones.
Each design has a name, like Chloe, a luxury ring inspired by Greek mythology and the goddess of fertility and agriculture. This makes the shopping experience feel special. Deepak enthuses: “All of our pieces have a personal identity, representing different continents, countries and cultures. We also add our touch. The initials DBS are laser etched in every ring to represent my father Surinder and I; a reminder of what he and my family have achieved.” DBS Jewellery is also a proud member of the National Association of Jewellers, adhering to industry codes and conducts set by the association.
The story of DBS Jewellery
A decade-long journey has seen Deepak turn a historical family skill into an exciting business that goes far beyond solving a problem for brides; it’s a jewellery brand that’s born out of creativity and heritage.
“My story began in 2013, but as a family, we are generations old within the jewellery trade. My father Surinder began his career at the tender age of 13. His brothers were also a part of the firm, under the watchful eye of my grandfather in a small town in Punjab. As a child, Deepak would sit in awe and watch his father work: “The lasting memory that will always stay with me is when my father used to heat the gold into a molten form and then let it cool down before shaping it into a thin bar – this would be the beginning of him creating exquisite jewellery pieces from, what seemed at the time, out of thin air.”
I initially helped my parents with their business by running errands, but the curiosity got the better of me to such an extent, that they invested into a jeweller’s bench, and under the watchful guidance of my father, I began my learning in the art of gold jewellery production. I then learnt how to design jewellery using CAD software, but I always felt there was a need to modernise the industry furthermore.
Whilst the industry had almost succumbed to a complete standstill in 2020, I used lockdown to my advantage by learning and experimenting with new processes that I could use to further the quality of the pieces I wanted to produce. This also laid the foundations for DBS Jewellery’s journey to what it has become today.

How to choose your wedding ring
Deepak shares his expert tips on how to help decide on the wedding jewels of your dreams
Understand the material: Gold comes in many forms so it’s crucial that you know which type you want. 22ct gold which we use, signifies 22 parts of gold to 24 parts of metal, or 91.6% gold, the highest content of gold you can typically get in jewellery.
Appreciate the stones: diamonds aren’t the only jewels that can add sparkle to your finger. We use 5A Cubic Zirconia stones which cast a magical prismatic rainbow when they catch the light. Beautiful yet affordable, they’re the ideal alternative to diamonds.
Explore the story: Each of our rings has a story, explained on our website. It’s a reminder that a ring is so much more than a piece of jewellery. It’s symbolic of new beginnings and will be something you treasure forever.
