Zoyaz London is bringing creative couture back to Tooting, which was once a thriving hub for South Asian shopping. In recent years the food scene in the area has exploded taking over from the shops, but now you can team your trip with good food and fabulous fashion. The fresh new brand is owned by friends Lubeena Yar and Tehmina Yakoob who spotted a gap, bringing contemporary Pakistani garments to the UK, making them accessible to UK shoppers. She says: “For a long time it felt like you’re buying the ‘best of the worst’ when you go shopping for Pakistani clothing in London. We had many friends who would go back every two years, bring home their haul of all the latest fashion trends but then wear them continuously until their next trip abroad. We want clients to be able to shop all year round and get the choice and quality they want without the travel.”

You’ll receive a warm welcome at Zoyaz London which has vibrant pink decor set over two floors. On the main floor you can shop for the latest ready-to-wear designs from Pakistan’s leading designers. Zoyaz are the official stockists for well-known brands such as Gul Ahmed and Saiqa Majeed. The basement is a dedicated bridal lounge where you can have your own bespoke bridal outfit made, Lubeena explains: “We invite you to a consultation where you can browse and try on our samples to help you find styles you like. All outfits can then be adapted to your choice of colour, fabric or changing lengths – having this level of personalised outfit that no one else will have is a rite of passage for every bride.”
