In March 2023, Jessica Gagen the current Miss England and her entourage had the pleasure of being invited to Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives to recharge their batteries following a busy trip to India BOPA (British Organisation for People of Asian-origin) After 15 days of travelling around North India, visiting children’s homes, schools, universities and charity projects the team were in need of a relaxing break.

The Miss England team consisting of “Jessica Gagen, Angie Beasley (Director of Miss England) & Anupama Jaidka (Angie’s colleague and friend and former Miss Asia UK ) “flew directly from Delhi airport to the Maldives with Indigo Airlines meeting celebrity photographer Alan Strutt at Malé airport. Transfer time to paradise took around 70 minutes. There is also an option to travel by plane which is much quicker but only if your luggage is under 20kg!

Once they landed by boat on the paradise island of Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives, the team were transferred to their most amazing accommodation, the Water Bungalows overlooking the Indian Ocean. Perfect for honeymooners and solo travellers alike! Each of the team enjoyed having their very own water bungalow with steps from the balcony leading to an underwater heaven.

The main Restaurant is Vah, a Buffet with International and Local Cuisine… The spectacular view of the Indian Ocean at Vah will entice you into chewing your carefully prepared food so slowly out of reluctance to leave! This family-friendly eatery welcomes all guests of the resort to fill their tummies and enjoy the sparkling conversation.

The team just spent just 3 days on the island and in between enjoying the breathtaking facilities, managed to fit in a few beach photoshoots on the incredible white sanded beach and turquoise blue waters surrounding the island.

Jessica said “My stay at Cinnamon was fantastic, the staff were incredibly accommodating and the food at the resort was phenomenal! I was lucky enough to stay solo overlooking the Indian Ocean where I had my own jacuzzi and hammock, and steps which led me to the sea- an idyllic setting for avid snorkelers surrounding all of the accommodations where coral reefs teaming with tropical fish! I’d love to return in the future to experience more of what the resort has to offer, especially the coral reefs! Thank you to Cinnamon for a beautiful experience!”
