Let’s Dance!

Your guests deserve nothing less than entertainment with the wow factor, which is where Maharaja Music comes in

The party celebrations are often the highlight of a wedding for the guests and the couple. By now, you’re officially married, any worries have disappeared and it’s time to get immersed in the ambience of the dancefloor. After your First Dance, the attention usually goes straight to a DJ but there’s so much more to entertainment than recorded tracks.

Live music, dance performances, production lighting, visual effects and even special fx, or customised dance floors are all options to consider. The team at Maharaja Music are renowned for creating complete live experiences whatever the scale of your festivities, from intimate events to weddings with over 1000 guests.

The founders of Maharaja Music, Deeps and Jas are both available to DJ at your event however Maharaja also takes on the event management as Jas explains: “From wedding receptions to corporate events and fashion shows, our journey has seen us successfully provide the Maharaja experience for thousands of events, each being unique to the other. We strongly believe ‘anything is possible.’ We use this ethos from the initial phone call with a couple to detailed conversations about your vision, creating custom packages.”

Here are some of the ways that Maharaja Music can bring the magic to your Big Day.

Events/AV Production
The team can coordinate your entire wedding, ensuring the smooth running of the day, liaising with service providers so that everything goes to plan. Their little black book of performers is filled with the biggest names in the industry, from singers to professional musicians. They will also look after all the AV requirements from the best quality microphones, to atmospheric lighting, as Jas explains: ‘We stock and arrange for special effects which are part of the secret touches that make your day that extra bit amazing like adding dry ice, indoor fireworks and even CO2 guns. Set against the soundtrack of the finest music, your wedding will become an entertainment extravaganza.’ All setups are bespoke to the venue. This could involve creating a custom dance floor or enhancing the set-up with production lighting and visual displays. All types of space can feature an element of production whether you have a blank canvas venue, a luxury hotel, or are even marrying at home.

The energy will be flaring, hands will be clapping and feet will be tapping when your guests experience the fun wedding entertainment provided by the DJs at Maharaja. As the team are so in demand, there are several DJs on the books as well as Jas and Deeps, there’s Gurdeep, Teghs and Kam who all bring the same professional service and personality to the proceedings. And as for what you can expect on the decks, the couple’s wishes are the priority as Jas explains: “We love bringing the bride and groom’s vision to life, from an idea they have in their minds to lists of music they’ve listened to over the years. We help our couples bring their ideas together and in true Maharaja style we make it happen.”

Destination weddings
“We’ve been part of some of the best weddings in the world”, Jas enthuses “Over the years, sweet and subtle or bang on loud and proud we’ve created weddings in some of the most prestigious venues and event spaces across the world and the ones that stand out are when everyone is just there to have the best time.”

If you’re looking to get married abroad, it can be hard to find service providers you can trust to deliver your vision but Maharaja is one of them. The team have travelled internationally for weddings including India, Kenya, Italy and Spain, bringing the same level of service you can expect from them in the UK.

Entertainment is what brings a reception to life, after all of the formalities, couples look forward to their guests having a chance to socialise and have fun. Jas says: “Couples come to us because they want their guests to have a great time and the biggest highlight of what we do is being a part of ‘making memories’ for the couple and their family to look back on for years to come.”
